A NOTE FROM THE BUILDER

Why I built it.

The timer, the timesheet, and the invoice should tell the same story. I wanted to review the work once and carry it through to billing without rebuilding it in a spreadsheet.

A FEW THINGS TO KNOW

Before the first launch.

Which Mac download should I choose?

Choose Apple Silicon for an M-series Mac, or Intel for an Intel Mac. A universal build supports both. Only the architectures listed below are available. The DMG includes an app you can drag into Applications; the ZIP contains the same app without the disk image.

Is this a finished release?

No. Version 0.1.0 is a development preview. The macOS packages are Developer ID signed and notarized by Apple, with stapled tickets verified before publication. Notarization does not change the app’s development-preview status.

What does this app need?

This preview is a desktop client. It requires a configured Running Tab API and account; downloading the app does not set up the service. Financial records live on the server, and desktop credentials use your Mac’s keychain.

FROM THE SOURCE

Build it on your machine.

Requires Node 24+, Rust 1.95, PostgreSQL and SMTP. The desktop is an API client, not an offline database. See the project README for backend setup.
